(By Ernesto Cooke) – The Simon Bolivar School Vessel also known as The Ambassador Without Borders, will arrive in port Kingstown on August 17, 2019, at 9:00 a.m.
The Vincentian people and people from other latitudes can visit this beautiful Bolivarian ship from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., from August 17 to 21st 2019. This is an opportunity for Vincentian youth to share with more than 180 Venezuelan cadets that are being formed in the Venezuelan navy.
09:00 a.m. Reception of the Simón Bolívar School Ship by the Vincentian authorities, Venezuelan Diplomats, diplomatic corps, civils, special guests, media and military authorities of SVG at the port.
10:10- 10:40 a.m. Tour of the School vessel with the Venezuelan Diplomats, diplomatic corps, civils, special guests and military authorities of SVG.
10:40- 12:00 m. Opening of the Vessel to the general public.
2:30- 6:00 p.m. Visits to the vessel
7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Reception for the Vincentian authorities, Venezuelan Diplomats, diplomatic corps, civils, special guests and military authorities of SVG, media, by the High Command at the Simon Bolivar Vessel.
On the 18th two groups of sailors would visit, “Owia Salt Pond” and “La Soufrière“.
The following Activities will take place on the 19th.
9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Meeting with authorities of the Simón Bolívar School Vessel and authorities of the Coast Guard of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at the vessel.
9:00-12:00 p.m. Visits of the general public to the School Vessel.
12:00 Noon. Lunch with the High Command of the School Ship and Venezuelan Diplomatic representative.
2:00-4:00 p.m. Visit to Dark View Falls, Leeward Hwy, Chateaubelair
(55 Venezuelan crewmen will attend this activity)
5:00 p.m. Football match between Crewmen of the School Vessel and members of the Royal Police of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
5:00-6:00 p.m. Visits of the general public to the School Vessel.
On the 20th, some 25 Venezuelan crewmen will be involved in a Floral wreath-laying ceremony at the Chatoyer monument, a Conference onboard the vessel: {historical review of the sea borders} and also a Basketball match.
Before the vessel set sail on the 21st, a number of activities will take place.
08:30 a.m. Farewell Ceremony of the Simón Bolívar School Ship by the Vincentian authorities, Venezuelan Diplomats, diplomatic corps, civils, special guests, media and military authorities of SVG at the port.

8:55- 9:00 a.m. Words of thanks from the Head of the Venezuelan Mission, Francisco Pérez Santana.
9:00-9:10 am Words of thanks from the Vessel Commander.
9:10 – 9:20 Words of thanks from the SVG Government.
9:30 a.m. The departure of the School Vessel and Cultural Act of farewell by the Vincentian musicians Darron Andrews, Oswald Williams, and Resistance Heartbeat Drummers.
