Minister Saboto Caesar is currently in the Bahamas providing support in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian.
Today, he visited affected communities with Hon. Micheal Pintard, his colleague Minister of Agriculture in the Bahamas.
“It is one region and solidarity in times of a disaster is the least we can do,” said Minister Saboto Caesar.
The island’s Minister of Labour also lamented, that, “SVG has one of the better trained workforces for disaster recovery in the Caribbean.
We have a deep history in recovery and reconstruction, from providing support after Hurricane Ivan in Grenada, Tomas in St. Vincent and the Grenadines -‘Operation Recovery and Reconstruction’ and several national floods, Maria and Irma in Anguilla, BVI and Dominica.
Climate change is real and our workforce must always be ready.”
