Twenty-five residents of Bequia are expected to benefit from a seminar next week geared at improving their business planning and management skills.
The Centre for Enterprise Development Inc. (CED) will conduct its Micro Business Simulation (MBG) training on Bequia October 7-11. The MBG seminar is designed to help micro-entrepreneurs and others improve their financial knowledge. The overall objective of the seminar is to experience how to manage a micro-business effectively, using an experience-based approach.
The MBG seminar is part of the Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation’s (SBFIC)/Eastern Caribbean Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) endorsed project, which aims to strengthen the financial sector and improve access to financial services in the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) by Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s).
The workshop will take place at 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Paget Farm Community Centre. It will be conducted by certified MBG trainers – Miss Keisha Phillips – CED Training & Education Coordinator, and Nisha Glasgow – Business Development Field Officer.
