Police have arrested and charged Akilo Matthews, 23-year-old Security Guard of Campden Park with Wounding on 14.10.19.
According to investigations, the accused entered the dwelling house of 21 years old Labourer of the same address with a cutlass and maliciously wounded him by chopping him on his left ear with a cutlass. The incident occurred on 13.10.19 at Campden Park.
Matthews appeared before the Magistrate Court on 15.10.19 and was not allowed to plea. He was given composite bail in the sum of EC$3000 with one surety and is expected to report to the Questelles Police Station as a part of this bail condition.
MEANWHILE
Police have arrested and charged Ziroy Joseph, 36 years old Labourer of Chilli Village, Georgetown with Wounding on 14.10.19.
According to investigations, the accused allegedly wounded a 34-year-old Labourer of Spring Village, Georgetown by chopping him in the head with a cutlass. The incident occurred on 12.10.19 at Georgetown.
Joseph appeared before the Magistrate Court on 15.10.19 and was remanded at Her Majesty’s Prison pending the health of the complainant who is currently a patient at the Intensive Care Unit within the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
The matter was transferred to the Serious Offences Court for arraignment.
