Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will be the setting to enjoy the 2nd Edition of the Venezuelan Film Festival “See who we are” to be held from November 4th to 8th, 2019 at the “Peace Memorial Hall”, in Prison and in Primary and secondary schools.
Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy the best of Venezuelan cinema, with audiovisual productions of international quality, with historical, fiction and fantasy themes.
In this edition, the documentary Haiti, the Hidden face will be released, which shows a beautiful, sound and deep people, a place where determination was key to making Haiti a land of liberated souls.
In the same way, you can also enjoy the animated film Mission H2O, winner of the award for the best film at the FesticineKids in Cartagena, Colombia, which aims to promote the care of planet earth through the conscious use of water. Mission H2O recounts the trip of Samuel, a young man who, together with a group of friends, launches himself to save the planet from the threat of aliens who stole the water from his city, Buenaventura.
We also bring you the feature film Central Park, which brings together several stories of Venezuelan couples living everyday situations very common in Latin American and Caribbean societies.
This 2nd Edition of the Venezuelan Film Festival “See who we are” is organized by the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines through the Venezuelan Institute of Culture and Cooperation (VICC) Hugo Chávez Frías in collaboration with the Ministry of National Security, Air and Sea, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Commerce, the Ministry of Education and National Reconciliation, the Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture, the “SVG Community College” and the “Solidarity” Group, in the context of the 40th Anniversary of the Independence of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and to commemorate 122 years of Venezuelan cinema, honoring one of the most important filmmakers of Venezuela, Mr. Carlos Azpúrua and celebrating the 25th anniversary of the creation of the National Autonomous Center of Cinematography (CNAC).
The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela invites you to enjoy Venezuelan cinematography with this Festival that constitutes a linguistic, social and cultural event to promote Venezuelan, Latin American and Caribbean cultural identity from the production of Venezuelan cinema as a vanguard in audiovisual content in our America .
In order for our culture to reach as many scenarios as possible, we have created this Festival in an itinerant format, which means that the Venezuelan cinema will be in different areas of the country, as was done in SVG last year. In the coming days the dates and places where each of the films will be screened will be published. Admission is free.
