St Vincent and the Grenadines today took part in the Rio 2016 Games taking place in Brazil.
Izzy Joachim was among the women’s 100 breaststroke heats events and settled for 7th place with a time of 1:17;37
Izzy Shne Joachim (born 2000) is a Vincentian swimmer. She competed in the 50 m freestyle and 100 m freestyle, 50 m, 100 m and 200 m breaststroke, 50 m backstroke, 50 m butterfly and 100 m individual medley events at the 2012 FINA World Swimming Championships (25 m). Joachim also competed in the 50 m and 100 m breaststroke events at the 2013 World Aquatics Championships.
The next event that St Vincent will part in would be the men’s 50 meter freestyle.
All events so far that the nation athletes have taken part in are the heats competition.
St Vincent is represented by four athletes at the Rio games.
Seven other nations competed in the heats event including, Guam, Suriname, Moldova, Malaysia, Estonia, Kyrgyzstan, and Uganda.
