Users of CIBC FirstCaribbean’s mobile banking app will notice another round of improvements to its functionality, that make it that much easier for them to use it.
From September 1st there have been a number of user interface enhancements that are designed to improve the experience of users of the free app.
The enhancements include a new “Redeem Now” button”, which allows users who have signed up to track their Rewards Points on the CIBC FirstCaribbean credit card on the recently-introduced Rewards Monitor to quickly and conveniently take advantage of the rewards they have earned by redeeming their accumulated points.
The latest upgrade also includes a number of additional security enhancements, which will increase the security of the app even further, as well as improved speed of some of the app’s functions.
Introduced in May 2016 the CIBC FirstCaribbean Mobile App gives CIBC FirstCaribbean customers an additional channel to help them customize their banking experience to best suit their lifestyle.
Mobile users can access the app on Android, Apple, Blackberry and Windows devices and enjoy the following features:
- Checking account balances
- Transferring funds
- Paying bills
- Locating branches and Instant Tellers™
In July the bank introduced a major update to the Mobile Banking App giving customers the ability to monitor their credit card rewards points! The app’s Credit Card Rewards Monitor provides the facility to keep track of and understand how many rewards earned when customers use their credit card, set point goals and track how close they are to that goal.
Managing Director for Customer Relationship Management and Strategy, Trevor Torzsas, described the customer reception to the app as beyond the bank’s expectations. “This is an app that allows our clients to choose how they want to engage with us; more and more of them are telling us they want to avoid the banking hall and bank electronically. It’s how they live their lives – fast-paced and on the go. Their banking must match that pace and expectation.”
Torzsas noted: “You can now link your credit card to your mobile banking app; you can track how many points you have earned and redeem them right from your mobile device. Now that’s the ultimate in convenience!”
