(Staff 784News) – Thirteen (13) new positive cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed in Grenada in the last 36 hours, and all infected individuals are in quarantine in state facilities, or at home, where they are being monitored.
Among the new Covid-19 cases is a 37yro female traveler who arrived in Grenada from St. Vincent with a negative PCR test result.
According to Grenadian health officials the woman went directly into quarantine, in keeping with the entry protocols and tested positive on Day 4.
Grenada now has fifty-four (54) active cases of COVID-19.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines as of Sunday 20th December, recorded a total of one hundred and four (104) COVID-19 cases, eighty-five (85) of which have recovered. There are now nineteen (19) active COVID-19 cases, all imported from high-risk countries.
The National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) said on Sunday that the Molecular Lab Unit of the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment will limit the processing of RT-PCR samples to emergencies only over the Christmas weekend.
Persons intending to travel during this period should therefore immediately seek advice on the scheduling of exit screens.
St Vincent and the Grenadines has now recorded a total of 104 Covid-19 cases, 85 of which have recovered. There are now 19 active Covid-19 cases, all imported from high-risk countries.
All quarantine protocols and Covid-19 advisories must be followed to reduce the risk of the introduction and subsequent spread of new Covid-19 cases in St Vincent and the Grenadines, the release from NEMO said.
