(Press Release) – Last week Shanika John, a representative of the Coronavirus Task Force of the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment visited the Sagicor office at Frenches to receive a donation of masks from the team.
These masks will be distributed amongst personnel on the Coronavirus and Volcanic Eruption Task Forces which are both constantly out and about at this time. The masks, which were manufactured to Ministry of Health specifications are already in the public domain and are easily identifiable with the Sagicor logo.
Stanley Browne, Sales Manager, Sagicor Life Inc said, “At Sagicor we continue to be supportive of the effort to manage the covid-19 pandemic here at home. Just about a year ago, when the pandemic became active in the Eastern Caribbean, we implemented a number of initiatives to support mobilization efforts.
We donated to the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) to support the purchase of equipment for our airports and locally we presented US$10,000 to the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment to support their purchase of PPE and other equipment and to protect vulnerable groups in the community.
Like the rest of St Vincent and the Caribbean, Sagicor is committed to doing its part to ensure that the pandemic is eradicated.”
