Government to pay quarantine costs of returning Cave Hill students
The Government will be paying 100 percent of the quarantine cost for Cave Hill students who wish to return home to SVG, once they are fully vaccinated. This is according to this country’s Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves.
“For the students who are at Cave Hill, who had written to me about coming home and having problem with the extent of the quarantine money, I made the point; any student that is fully vaccinated, I’ll pay one hundred percent, the Government will pay one hundred percent for them at any hotel or guesthouse approved by the government.”
Prime Minister Gonsalves said that students who have only received their first dose or haven’t been vaccinated at all will also be assisted with payments.
“If you got your first vaccine I’ll pay seventy-five percent, if you don’t have any vaccine at all I’ll pay fifty percent. I think that is quite fair.” He said.
As of the most recent COVID-19 report over 18,000 vaccines have been administered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines so far.
