(NEWS784) – St Vincent and the Grenadines are reporting 19 new cases of COVID-19 from samples tested on Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th May 2021.
Eleven new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from one hundred and sixty-one (161) samples processed on Tuesday, May 25th, 2021, resulting in a positivity rate of 6.8%.
Eight new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from one hundred and seventy-seven (177) samples processed on Wednesday, May 26th, 2021, resulting in a positivity rate of 4.5%. Two (2) of the eight (8) new cases from Wednesday are linked to an emergency shelter.
Over the two-day reporting period, Two (2) new recoveries were noted. Twelve (12) persons with COVID-19 have died in St Vincent.
Two thousand and fourteen (2014) cases of COVID-19 and eighteen hundred and thirty-one (1831) recoveries have been recorded in St. Vincent and the Grenadines since March 2020.
The public is urged to continue to use masks, sanitize, physically distance and get vaccinated to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
