(PR) – The Women’s Department within St. Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation will embark on an online series geared towards the further education of players of the game. The objectives of this initiative include further enhancing the players’ knowledge of the game and exposing them to opportunities for growth available through football whether it be on or off the field.
The series will begin with an introductory session of the Executive and Women’s Committee as well as an interactive one to ascertain the player’s expectations of the program and women’s football in general so that we can better meet their needs going forward. This session will be held on Saturday 5th June at 7:00 p.m. on the SVGFF zoom platform. This initiative will tackle a number of topics including the teaching of the laws of the game, dieting and health, possible career paths available through football as well as its mental and psychological impacts.
This online initiative is being held under the theme “Aspire to inspire: we teach, we learn, we grow together, on and off the field of play”. These sessions are expected to be held for three Saturdays each month and meeting information will be communicated in a timely manner leading up to each session.
In addition to this series, female footballers will be awarded the opportunity to win various prizes through our monthly social media challenges. Information on how to enter and win will be publicized on all SVGFF social media platforms.
