An autopsy into the death of Arnos Durrant found that he died from asphyxiation { Asphyxia or asphyxiation is a condition of severely deficient supply of oxygen to the body that arises from abnormal breathing. An example of asphyxia is choking.}
The autopsy also revealed that Durrant had ingested a poison substance, the substance was not made public according to news sources on the island.
The body of 66 year old Durrant was found hanging by the neck last Saturday morning sometime before 9AM.
