The Guinness, BMC Agencies, Hitz FM 103.7 Blondie Bird, and Friends, walked away with the 2016 Band of the Year title, with their presentation of ‘Sweet temptation’ during the Mardi Gras shows held at Victoria Park on Carnival Tuesday, July 5.
Metrocint General Insurance Company Limited High Voltage Mas Production captured second and third position with its presentation ‘All that lathers’ and ‘Brazil’.
In position number four was Digicel Nelson Bloc with its presentation ‘Vincy sweet Vincy nice’, with Lynx Mas Band placing fifth with its presentation ‘Send this send that’.
Meanwhile, Digicel Nelson Bloc won the Uptown Competition.
Second place went to Guinness, BMC Agencies, Hitz FM 103.7 Blondie Bird, and Friends, with, SVG Players International Mas Band, Ahdrenalin Mas Band, and Mirage Productions, placed 3rd, 4th and 5th, respectively.
Guinness, BMC Agencies, Hitz FM 103.7 Blondie Bird, and Friends got the judges nod for first place for the Best Use of Colour, while Mirage Productions, Digicel Nelson Bloc, and Metrocint General Insurance Company Limited High Voltage Mas Production placing 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, respectively.
