CIBC FirstCaribbean’s mobile banking app for smartphones has proven a big hit with thousands of customers of the regional bank with a 4.8 rating in app stores since its launch two months ago.
“We are simply elated that our customers by the thousands have embraced our latest efforts to provide them with cutting-edge banking solutions that fit their lives,” said Trevor Torzsas, Managing Director of Customer Relationship Management and Strategy.
“To have our app rated at 4.8 out of a possible 5 and downloaded by thousands tells us that many of our customers who are increasingly leading very busy lifestyles, want to do their banking on the go and we are happy to provide them with a secure user-friendly app to do so,” he said.
He also announced a major update to the app which now allows CIBC FirstCaribbean Credit Card holders to monitor their credit card rewards points. The Credit Card Rewards Monitor allows customers to keep track of and understand how many rewards points they earn when they use their credit card. The monitor also allows them to set point goals and track how close they are to that goal.
Every time a customer uses their card, the rewards points earned on that transaction will instantly show on the Mobile Banking App once they have set up the rewards monitor on the app and already have their credit card linked to their internet banking account.
Mr. Torzsas said the bank continues to roll out innovations to help customers determine the banking experience they want and which gives them control over how, when and where they do their banking.”
The new app which can be downloaded from the playstore, the apple store and blackberry world is accessed via Android, Apple, Blackberry and Windows devices. It affords users the convenience of checking their account balances, transferring funds, paying bills and locating branches and Instant Tellers™, all from their mobile device.
