Telecommunications provider- Digicel last Friday, July 29 launched its Back to School component of its Bring the Beat summer campaign.
The Bring the Beat campaign, which is currently being held in other Digicel markets across the region, was conceptualized to show Caribbean unity, specifically to celebrate all Caribbean athletes competing in Rio-Brazil this year.
The Back to School promotion, which got underway, last Friday allows customers to receive a brand new Digicel backpack with every purchase of a specially priced smartphone, on selected days of every week up until August 31, 2016.
In addition to the distribution of hundreds of free backpacks to Vincentians, Digicel will be rewarding scholarship grants to deserving Vincentian children.
During the month of August, both prepaid and postpaid customers are being encouraged to text to the short code 1130, the name of their child and why he/she should be rewarded a Digicel scholarship. At the end of the promotion on August 31, the most deserving and needy children will be selected to receive the financial boost from the telecommunications provider.
According to Digicel’s Marketing Manager- Danielle Cupid the 2016 summer campaign was strategically designed to not only allow Digicel customers to win thousands of dollars in cash but also to ensure that the nation’s children are equipped to head back to the classroom to start a new school year.
Cupid is encouraging parents and/or guardians to capitalize on this opportunity provided by Digicel to text and win some much-needed cash, which will go a long way in ensuring that their child has all the tools and resources necessary to excel at school.
