Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves says he did not have a personal relationship with businessman David Ames who is now on the run from law enforcement here.
Dr. Gonsalves said his relationship with Ames is the same as with any other investors who invests in the country and that the government did not provide any special privileges out of the norm.
Ames is on the run after a summon was issued for him to appear in court on a number of tax evasion charges.
Dr. Gonsalves says Ames is in the UK and efforts are being made to have him brought back here to face the court.
