Former Attorney General of St Vincent and the Grenadines Carl Joseph will be laid to rest today.
Joseph farewell service will take place at the Roman Catholic Church in Kingstown; the service begins at 2pm.
The former Attorney General died around 2am on July 4th, 2016.At the time of his passing, he was at his home in Gomea.
His death was not without controversy as the Leader of the Opposition Arnhim Eustace says that the family of the late Carl Joseph, who was also Director of Public Prosecutions and Magistrate, are not too pleased with the way he was treated in death.
The NDP Central Kingstown parliamentary representative, St Clair Leacock, stated also that the family should have been offered the opportunity of a state or official funeral.
Sources say that such is not the case and that the family was offered an official funeral.
Joseph once held the portfolios of DPP and magistrate. He was also the lawyer for the St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Welfare Association.
He once contested the West St George seat on an NDP ticket and lost to Mike Browne of the ULP.
