Next year, Princess Catharina-Amalia of the Netherlands will make her first Royal Tour of the Dutch Caribbean Islands.
The Dutch Royal Family announced that the 18-year-old, who is the future Queen of the Netherlands, will travel with her father King Willem-Alexander and mother Queen Máxima to “discover Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten, as well as the islands of the Caribbean Netherlands: Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba.”
After almost a decade of taking over from former Queen Beatrix, the King and Queen are returning to the islands for the second time.
State Secretary for Kingdom Relations and Digitisation, Alexandra van Huffelen, will accompany the Royal Family.
It is expected that the tour will begin in January and end in February 2023.
