Layou is the place to be on Sunday, April 24th, 2016, when the Pan Against Crime Committee in collaboration with the Gospel Fest Committee South Leeward Zone stage another free gospel concert at the Layou Playing Field commencing at 4:30p.m.
For the Pan Against Crime Committee this will be the third in a series of activities to mark the eight (8th) anniversary of the Pan Against Crime Programme.
Performances will be made by members of the Layou Miracle Tabernacle, several Police Youth Clubs, the Police Band, Fidel Taylor and a slate of other gospel artistes.
Remarks will be delivered by Hon.Jomo Thomas and Commissioner of Police Mr.Michael Charles.
The Pan Against Crime Programme, the brainchild of Prime Minister Dr.Ralph Gonsalves, was implemented in several schools and community organizations across the country on February 20th, 2008. The initiative has taken a unique approach to fighting crime by helping young people in the country turn toward a life of music by learning how to play the steel pan.
