Antigua and Barbuda is busier than ever and on track to establish a new record for visitor arrivals. Things are about to get busier as Antigua and Barbuda welcomes the reintroduction of direct service from Orlando via low-cost airline Frontier Airlines.
Frontier will begin weekly nonstop flights between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and V.C. Bird International Airport (ANU) in Antigua & Barbuda on November 4, 2023. The service is the sole nonstop flight option between the two major destinations, and it boosts Antigua and Barbuda’s market position in Florida.
The Honourable Charles Fernandez, Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation, and Investment in Antigua and Barbuda, described the restoration of Frontier Airlines service as “incredible news for Antigua and Barbuda, as we look forward to another record-breaking year in visitor numbers.” This new weekly service will allow us to welcome even more overnight visitors.” “Frontier is the ideal partner to broaden our airlift partner by offering competitive fares complemented by a strong network,” Minister Fernandez stated. “I’m looking forward to seeing a significant increase in visitors from the US market.”
“The return of Frontier is a culmination of the Tourism Authority’s aggressive efforts to return our airlift to pre-pandemic levels,” stated Colin C. James, CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority. Frontier has been a fantastic partner and is well-known for their low fares. This would undoubtedly increase Antigua and Barbuda’s attractiveness to passengers who choose to save money on airfare while upgrading their hotel product.”
Frontier’s seasonal service from Orlando began in Winter 2021 and has been a huge success for Antigua and Barbuda by providing service in a high-demand market. Antigua and Barbuda is thrilled to be able to provide the optimum vacation experience at every price range, and Frontier Airlines assists the location in expanding that offer to include the full travel experience.
Weekly service will begin on November 4, 2023, and will last until March 30, 2024. Tickets are currently on sale at FlyFrontier.com. Visitors should check FlyFrontier.com for the most up-to-date schedule because frequency and times are subject to change.
