Journalist Ari Shaw who works with one of this country major Weekly newspapers has been cleared of assault charges.
Shaw was charged for assaulting a police officer, while attending J’ouvert celebrations in Kingstown in July of 2015.
When the case came before Magistrate Bertram Pompey, video evidence of the altercation was presented, the Magistrate stated “the video says a million words”.
Shaw maintained his innocence throughout the matter.
