American Tourist Quintaria Roker was found dead in a MoBay Hotel room.
On June 20th, Quintaria Roker departed from West Palm Beach to Montego Bay Jamacia on her planned solo trip.
She hired a tour guide to ensure she would be safe and have reliable transportation around the island. After settling into her first Airbnb, which did not have AC, she canceled her reservation, and her driver took her to her new hotel that the tour guide referred her to.
Quintaria had an itinerary planned for her solo trip to Jamacia; her plans for her first night were to get dinner at a restaurant lounge and stay in her room until the rest of the night.
Quintaria Roker did not participate in nightlife activities such as partying, drinking, or smoking. While traveling in Jamacia, she contacted family and friends about her whereabouts.
The few individuals that reached out to her around 10:06 p.m. confirmed she was in her room and did not go out that night. The tour guide contacted Quintaria Job, Brightline, about Quintaria passing away without any details that could have been why her death happened.
Our family spoke to the tourist for answers and received false information, which also spread through media outlets.
The tourist was the last person with Quintaria Roker during her previous hours but deleted proof that he was around her.
As a family, we want our loved one returned home, and the funeral home consistently gives excuses about why her body has not been released, and July 21st will make it a whole month since her death.
Since Quintaria Roker is an African American woman, we have seen too many unresolved deaths in our community.
By signing this petition, you are helping the Roker family get government officials to help her return her body home. With no resources, please help share her story and help us share it correctly!
