Laverne Phillips activist and radio announcer is now back home after being hospitalized with a brain condition.
This was disclosed by Douglas DeFreitas proprietor of Nice Radio on Monday morning.
Phillips was hospitalized after it was discovered that her memory and speech had begun to Deteriorate
It was found out after medical checks that a mass had developed on the brain, an appeal fund was launch immediately by Nice Radio
Defreitas said that Phillips was at home and doing well. He noted that he spent time with her on Sunday.
She is getting there, but still needs the support, attention, and prayers.
Defreitas extended thanks for the love that has been poured out for Phillips, stating that there are still loving and wonderful people in this country.
The radio announcer had to be flown to Barbados for further medical attention to which the Prime Minister assisted by offering a chartered flight.
Phillips on her Facebook page express thanks to the Prime Minister: “Thank you, Dr. Gonsalves, for assisting me in my time of need. We don’t always see eye to eye on many issues but I appreciate what you did for me. Thank you, thank you, and thank you.”
