Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a motor vehicle accident involving a motor vehicle (m/v) HW909 owned and driven by Caswall Sheen of Campden Park and pedestrian Justin Daniel, 35-year-old Labourer of Lowmans Ld.
The vehicle accident occurred along the Campden Park public road in the vicinity of the gap to Carib Village on 19th May 2018.
According to investigations, Daniel who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol was walking across the public road from the eastern to western side.
He was in the western side of the street when m/v HW909 travelling from Campden Park to Kingstown, pulled onto the eastern side of the road to avoid him. Daniel according to reports staggered backwards and was struck by m/v HW909.
Daniel who was reported to have been in a critical condition was rushed to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit.
Police are continuing investigations.
