One man is nursing bullet wounds at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital after he was shot in the Vermont Valley Monday night.
It is believed that the man was at a shop where persons were gambling when a masked man came upon them and opened fire.
Robbery may not have been the motive as the gunman fled the scene without looking to remove any cash.
Within the last two weeks at least five persons were shot, with three being killed and one person hospitalized before Monday’s shooting.
