Maxine Ollivierre, the mother of missing youth, Kahili Ollivierre, is pleading with anyone having information about her son to come forward and let the police know.
Kahili, popularly known as” Q” has been missing since August 4th and was last seen speaking with a young man outside Dougan’s shop in Calliaqua.
Speaking with NEWS784 last evening from the US where she now resides, Ollivierre said she last spoke with her son over a month ago.
The grieving mother said at that time there was no indication to her that he might have been in any trouble with anyone, so his disappearance came as a shock to her.
Ollivierre said that she found out her son was missing on Sunday 7th August. This information she indicated came from family members.
The mother said she tried over the period to call her son’s phone, send text messages and WhatsApp messages, all to no avail.
She told News784 that it is really scary that someone can disappear so easily with no one seeing or hearing anything,
“All I’m doing now is waiting”, the young mother said.
“As a mother, all I need is for my child to come home,” Ollivierre told News784, sometimes she says the worst crosses her mind, “but still you have to reject such notions and hope for the best’.
“Its tough – you cannot just disappear from small St Vincent like this, you cannot…I just don’t know,” Ollivierre lamented.
“I don’t know what to do anymore…. all I do is pray, pray, pray, just pray for him to get home safe”.
The grieving mother urges young children, when they are leaving home, to always indicate where they are going and to “at least call home from time to time”, as she wished her son had done.
A missing person’s flyer has been posted at all Police Stations across the island.
