The National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Agency for Public Information, invite residents of Barrouallie and surrounding areas to a Town Hall Meeting to commemorate the activities marking the 2nd anniversary of the La Soufrière volcano’s last explosive eruptions.
This meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. at the Barrouallie Learning Resource Centre.
The meeting’s purpose will be to:
•Inform residents about the current status of the La Soufriere Volcano.
•To give a place for people to share their experiences and lessons learned from the La Soufrière volcano’s major eruptions in 2021.
Dr. Thomas Christopher, Volcanologist, Seismic Research Centre, Montserrat Volcano Observatory, will be the featured speaker.
Residents of Barrouallie and surrounding regions are encouraged to make a special effort to attend this Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Barrouallie Learning Resource Centre.
