General Secretary of the National Workers Movement, Noel Jackson, says that a new collective agreement could soon be hammered out with the company that is now running the Ottley Hal Shipyard and Marina.
Jackson’s NWM and the management of the company were at loggerheads, after the company sent home one of the workers, and also for failing to discuss a new collective agreement.
Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves intervened and now talks between both parties have been ongoing, with solutions to the various issues seemingly having been found.
