The Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies (PAWI) St. Vincent and the Grenadines is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary.
To celebrate this milestone, PAWI will be hosting a series of activities from January 1 to December 3, 2017 under the theme “A Brighter Blaze.”
The Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies St. Vincent and the Grenadines district officially got started in December 1966 and at present has 15 branches located throughout the island.
Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Education, National Reconciliation and Ecclesiastical Affairs, Senator Deborah Charles congratulated the Pentecostal Assemblies, noting that the government continues to give support to the church in a number of ways such as through duty-free concessions on vehicles, equipment, and materials for use in the work of the church.
Among the activities would be a March and Rally on January 1st, 2017; a Moonlight Cruise on February 10; District Convocation on March 12; National Sports Day April 17; Pentecost Rally-June 4; Launching of History Book and Magazine-June 26; Drama Production-October 8 and the launching of the 50th Anniversary Magazine on December 1, 2017.
