The Public Sector Reform Unit in the Service Commissions Department is holding Public Servants Patriotic Week 2017 which is being celebrated under the theme “Engendering Respect, Pride and Compliance for Our Governance in the Public Service.”
The activities commenced on Monday 16th October, 2017 and culminates on Thursday 26th October, 2017 and are intended to coincide with the nation’s 38th anniversary of Independence celebrations.
The objective of the week is to engender national pride, love and respect for fellow men and country as well as to sensitize Public Servants on the Civil Service Orders (CSO).
Three activities are slated to celebrate Public Servants Patriotic week:
16th -31st Oct, 2017 – Office Independence Décor and Patriotic Dress up
23rd – 31st Oct, 2017 – National colours attire by Public Servants
20th Oct, 2017 – The CSO in Imagery, Words and Action.
The event dubbed ‘the CSO in Imagery, Words and Action’ seeks to highlight the creativity of Public servants and strengthen relationships.
The main objective, however, is to sensitize public servants on the rules and regulations that govern their conduct and functions in the public service.
The aforementioned event will take place on Friday, 20th October, 2017 at the Peace Memorial Hall and will commence at 1:00 p.m.
