Today marks the one year since the passing of Sir Vincent Ian Beache who died on Monday 5th August 2019.
Beache was the first leader of the Unity Labour Party, a merger between SVGLP and MNU.
Sir Beache was a former representative for the North Central Windward and South Windward constituency and a Minister of Agriculture, and National Security.
Described as a political veteran and titan he was accorded a state funeral and was laid to rest in the Southern Caribbean island of St Vincent and the Grenadines on 19th August 2019.
Hundreds of Vincentians turned out to pay their last respects at his funeral service which was held at Kingstown Methodist Church.
The service was also attended by Government and opposition officials, members of the diplomatic corps, foreign dignitaries along with a large cross-section of Central Govt employees.
The sermon was delivered by Methodist Minister Monty Maule while a tribute to Sir Vincent was delivered by his son Glen Beache.
Internment took place at the Kingstown Cemetery.
