The CDC now has a new Chairman in the person of Ricky Adams, Adams was appointed at last Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting.
Adams now takes over from Dennis Ambrose who headed the CDC for the past 15 years and who had expressed his desire to quit.
Ambrose announced his retirement two years ago but was asked to stay on and with the CDC board members tenure now at an end, the government has now found someone to replace him.
There are said to be other changes to be announced to the CDC Board but CEO Ashford Wood will be holding onto his position along with a number of other board members.
The next agenda on the CDC’s calendar of events is the price giving ceremony for Vincy Mas 2016 but it is not clear if Adams will have this as his first official duty, since Ambrose was at the helm of CDC for this year’s carnival activities.
