Talks are continuing by the SVG Tourism Authority SVGTA to have more flights operating at the Argyle International airport AIA in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Argyle International Airport opened in February of 2017.
Head of the SVGTA Glen Beache noted in recent developments that discussions are also being held with JetBlue about doing flights into SVG.
JetBlue currently serves the southern Caribbean islands of St Lucia, Barbados, and Grenada except for St Vincent.
Beache says that they are looking to have more services from Caribbean Airlines CAL operating out of the JFK International in New York into the AIA.
He says that the summer programme with CAL went very well and they are looking forward to the inaugural flight from American Airlines on December 15th this year.
Air Canada returns to SVG on the 25th of October 2018 to begin its year-round service.
The SVGTA head says that efforts are still being made to have flights coming out of the UK, though there are still some challenges but shared optimism that in time there will be flights operating out of the UK into SVG.
