Police in the Eastern Division (E.D)) of Georgetown has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Sheldon Welch, a twenty-eight (28) year-old Labourer of Caratal, Georgetown which allegedly occurred on 3rd March 2023.
On 03.03. 2023, the police in Georgetown received a report of the disappearance of the deceased. An investigation was launched which led the police to a mountain in Georgetown where the body was discovered in a pit later the said day.
A postmortem examination is expected to be carried out on the body to ascertain the exact cause of death. One (1) male suspect is in custody.

On Friday evening, a young man from the northeastern coastal town of Georgetown was taken into custody on suspicion of murdering his older brother.
The body of the missing brother was found on Friday night in the mountains of Georgetown a police source told St Vincent Times.
The source told St Vincent Times that Sheldon Welch death is now the 10th homicide in SVG for 2023.
