The National U-15 Girls returned home as the champions of the Jewels of the Caribbean U15 Invitational Tournament held in Antigua & Bermuda.
The girls played a total of four matches in the tournament, coming out on top of the group with two wins, one draw, and a loss winning the tournament with a superior goal difference to Grenada.
The Girls began their campaign on the 13th of August, with a 4 – 0 victory over Dominica. Meiya Wilson scored two goals whereas Nevaeh Richards and Nasheeka Prescot scored a goal each. They then played Antigua and Barbuda on 17th August resulting in a 0 – 0 draw.
On Friday 19th August the team came back with a 1-0 Victory against Grenada with Nasheeka Scott scoring the lone goal. Our girls lost their final match in the competition on 21st August against St. Lucia 3-2 with Meiya Wilson scoring both goals.
G-Riesa Joseph and Kellisha Bowens were named MVP Goalkeeper and Defender of the tournament.
