An investigation has been launched into a fatal incident that occurred on Monday, February 8, 2022, at St. Vincent Distillers Limited at Mt. Bentick, Georgetown which left two persons dead and another currently hospitalized at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH).
According to investigations, on Monday, February 7, 2022, at about 1:45 pm eight men were constructing a building for the distiller next to an existing piece of wall.
The wall reportedly collapsed and fell killing Delano Spencer, 43-year-old Mason of New Adelphi/Chateaubelair, and Maxwell Seales, 50-year-old Steel Bender of Calliaqua at the scene.
Cameron Moore, a 20-year-old Labourer also sustained injuries and was taken to the Georgetown Hospital for medical attention. He was later transferred to the MCMH.
Investigations in the matter are ongoing.
St Vincent Distillers is located in Mt Bentick, Georgetown and is owned by C. K. Greaves & Co. Ltd.
