Venezuela and FAO evaluate mechanisms to strengthen production
The Venezuelan Government and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on Monday, November 25th, evaluated various cooperation mechanisms, with the intention of promoting and strengthening production in the South American country.
The meeting was attended by the Minister for Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, by the Government chaired by Nicolás Maduro and Rolf Hackbart, representative of the FAO. For Menéndez, cooperation is also aimed at strengthening the statistical control of the country, which, he said, is essential to determine needs more precisely.
For his part, Hackbart said that currently the cooperation portfolio which they advance with the Venezuelan State is 13 million dollars, while confirming that they seek to expand for the benefit of the country’s development.
